Day One

Good morning everyone from I-81 Lennox rest stop.
Our tent is open and ready for business.  It is so hard to believe that we are in our seventh year of doing this.  Praise God for sure.

During the next three or more blog posts I would like to invite you into our tent and introduce to some of the workers and people we meet, from literally, all corners of the globe.

So please, step right in.

Day 3

Saturday was an awesome day for us at our outreach on I-81 Lennox.
Lisa, Robbie and I were highly motivated and excited to be going out and being the hands and feet of the God we serve.

The rest stop is about 75-90 minutes north of where we live so we had to leave at 4:45 in the morning to be there by 6am. Here is an early morning shot of the skyline as we made our way on the interstate.
During this time we fellowship and pray and get ourselves in the right frame of mind and spirit so we can be effective witnesses and workers for the Christ.

The gentleman serving hotdogs on the left is Robbie.  The other three men are from Ukraine.

This picture has Lisa and Robbie making small talk with two gentleman from New Jersey.

You cannot really see the pins in the map but as I have said, we have people coming from all areas of the globe into our tent.  The map above has some interesting places pinned.

Visitors come in all sizes.  Here we have a little gentleman enjoying one of our sorbet pops.
Coming into the tent with the shades and shoulder bag is Alan.  More on him later.

God bless

Profound

My pastor made a statement during her sermon on Sunday that made really think.
The question was related to worship.

How many times have you been replaced by a stone?

Founded and Established--1

This morning while praying I asked a question of God.
"If I were to die today, would I forever live in Your heavenly kingdom?  Based on how I have lived."

It was not my intention to bring that up, as I was just spending time praying and fellowshipping with the Most High Father.  Yet, my heart has become grieved lately and I had pondered it on several other occassions during personal bible studies.

Psalm 24 was my guide today.
(3) Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?  Or who may stand in His holy place?  (4) He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.

After my question to God I then said to Him, " I don't want to have spent my life living for You and find myself lacking when I stand before You."
During these coming days, and further into the future, many people who have once walked closely with God will start to drift away from Him.  Their church attendance will fall off and Sunday will be the only time the are in church.  I look at the world around me and what is going on and I can see God is shaking it, and trying to get the attention of its inhabitants.
We are not listening.

And what about the body of Christ (the church)?  I am not questioning my salvation, but I do not want to become complacent. If God is not first in my life or I continue in a sinful pattern, God will leave me alone to my own desires.  Many scriptures in the bible point to a seperation of true and false believers within the sheepfold.  Sheep to the right and goats to the left.
I want to be standing next to Jesus in righteousness and not before Him, judged unworthy to enter in because of disobedience.

God bless.

Preparation

Good day to all.  We are on our way up to the Lennox south rest stop to prepare for our second outreach of the year.

The first one was the Laurel Mall community day event.
A group from our church will be hauling our tent and food stuff.

Planned departure time is less than a minute away at 0630.  Excitement abounds as we go out to be His hands and feet.
There is an air of expectancy for the great work God is going to do this Memorial Day weekend.
Today is only the set-up and the action starts tomorrow at 6am.

Look for more posts as we go along.
Enjoy your day and have a fantastic and safe weekend.
God bless

Just sayin'

Instead of wanting to "make America a great nation again."
Why not try "making America a Godly nation again?"

MY FATHER, as if I am the only one in Your universe
right now...as is You are all that matters in mine...
Forgive me the days I thought that meeting with you was
"insignificant" compared with all I had to do.
I come quietly to meet You, Father...needing to be
loved...and needing to love You.

Question

Which way do my thoughts move with the most pleasure?
For the flesh or the Spirit?

At this moment

Such a peace that I have not felt in such a long time.  A godly peace that I do not ever want to lose again.

Praise You LORD God almighty.

Waiting

A couple of days ago, while sitting in my kitchen, I started thinking about prayer, I believe.  Not quite sure.

As a believer in Jesus Christ I wait and look for His coming back to rapture the church.
Romans 8:23 tells of us waiting for the redemption of our body.
1 Corinthians 1:7 waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ,
And 1 Thessalonians 3:5 reads we are to wait patiently for Christ.

Waiting.

Those three passages speaks of the hope we have as children of God.
But...
Does God have a hope for us?
Is He waiting as well?
Yes and yes.

As much as I look forward to leaving this fallen world, in death or the rapture, I cannot  stop and rest on my laurels. God says in 2nd Chronicles 7:15 "Now my eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place."
What is God waiting for?
Jehovah is waiting for His called people to come together in one accord and seek His goodness for our nation once again.  Goodness being His mercy and forgiveness.  The body of Christ is the key to the present times we live in.  We are the intercessors and buffer from the coming judgment of God or the coming wave of blessings upon our land.
Go to verse 14 where it says " if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from the wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land."

God is waiting for the born again believers to do spiritual battle for this land of ours.
Our sins and our wicked ways have caused this nation to turn backwards.  Prayer is the only thing that can save us now.  Are we ready to do battle?  Or are we ready to lay down our arms?

I'm willing and ready to fight.

God bless.
